La Mission di ArgiNaRe

Ours is an entrepreneurial project born with the aim of developing new “environmental friendly” and eco-sustainable products and technologies for the recovery of marine (and non) contaminated waters, and for the protection and safeguarding of the environment. The proposed methodology, based on the use of clays and appropriate functional reactants, leads to the development of innovative hybrid materials, used for the absorption and induction of biodegradation of hydrocarbon pollutants poured into the sea; these materials can find application in shipbuilding and industrial areas affected by contamination of hydrocarbons and / or heavy metals and / or organic pollutants in general. The potential of the product is also highlighted in its enormous versatility due to the various forms in which it is obtained (powder, fabrics, sponges) which make it fully applicable in various operational conditions and with different types of contaminants. These products can be used as powders or absorbent panels or used, also in support of existing technology, in small devices, such as suction or drain filters, absorbent cushions and panels or floating systems.

Innovation

Thanks to the intrinsic nature of the polymeric organic matrix, based on functional cross-linkers and natural clays, the synthetic products are advanced innovative materials (KET according to the EU) for the absorption and induction of biodegradation of poured hydrocarbon pollutants at sea.

Eco-sustainability

In line with the objectives of the circular economy, adopted by the European Union, innovative materials after use can be recovered and regenerated (either chemically and / or biologically) and therefore reused for other cycles of absorption / degradation of organic contaminants.
